How WACKER turned a legacy SharePoint intranet into an employee-centric communication platform
When WACKER discovered that its legacy SharePoint intranet was no longer up to par for its employee’s needs, the company set out to create a true employee-centric platform. In this webinar, learn how to make sure your employees are the main focus of your intranet.
Why employee-centric is more than just a buzzword
According to research, 88% of employees believe a distinct workplace culture is crucial to business success, showing that organizations need to be putting employee needs at the fore line. For WACKER, having an intranet that was employee-centric was more than just a buzzword. Employees are the heart of the business and Wacker recognizes the importance of employee experience as a whole.
"Employee-centricity is not only a buzzword, if you make sure by your methodology that your employees are able to be part of building the environment and choosing the right technology then employee centricity is in fact in place."
On the agenda
WACKER Chemie AG’s SharePoint intranet 2010 platform was in use for over ten years and was desperately in need of a revamp. After deciding to put its 15,000 employees at the forefront, WACKER worked with Unily to design a modern intranet that was completely employee-centric and collaborative.
Within the first two months, the platform was already boasting over 12,000 active users, 1 million platform views, and more than 500,000 browser sessions.
